As we learnt from last week’s Crazy about Carrot Seed Essential Oil post – you get more beta carotene from carrots that are cooked or pureed vs eaten raw. This tasty recipe requires only a handful of ingredients plus is nice and healthy because it does not require butter or cream to give it depth of flavour. Roasting the vegetables and a healthy dose of herbs will do the job.
It's all about the carrot For many, carrot seed essential oil is most valued because of its anti-aging and revitalising effect on the skin. However, it is also the most misquoted essential oil as many authors use the properties of carrot, carrot oil and carrot seed interchangeably when in fact they are not the same. They are all great for our health and skin wealth, but each should be considered for its own merits and how best to use.
